The graduate school is comprised by several young researchers at the doctorate and post-doctorate level. Most researchers are funded through a scholarship by the German Research Foundation (DFG). To foster the interdisciplinarity of the researchers, all are supervised by two professors, each coming from distinct research areas.

The professors of the Graduate School are from Department of Informatics and Department of Economics and Business Engineering.

Meanwhile five associated professors and ten associated organisations provide further support for the Graduate School and its researchers.
